Course content & objectives: |
Due to increasing demand for more intensive training, Dr. Neufeld has added a second level of training that builds on the conceptual foundations provided in the first week intensive. The focus of this intensive is the challenging problems of childhood and youth: aggression, resistance, oppositionality, anxiety, dominance problems, bullying, compulsiveness, attachment problems, separation problems and much more. The objective is to make sense of these problems and from this foundation of insight, to outline strategies for treatment and intervention. |
Prerequisites: |
This course is open to anyone who has filled the basic prerequisite of the Level One Neufeld Intensive or its equivalent (ie, five or six day courses) in the conceptual foundations of Dr. Neufeld's attachment-based developmental paradigm. This material has been previously taught under the titles Working with Stuck Kids or The Teachability Factor. Briefer introductions to the material, even when taught in seminars with these titles, are not sufficient as a prerequisite for this Level Two Intensive. Questions regarding eligibility for Level Two should be directed to Dr. Neufeld's office. |
Further study & certification opportunities: |
This Level Two Intensive is a prerequisite to internship opportunities leading to presenter &/or practitioner certification in Dr. Neufeld's approach. It is also highly recommended for anyone interested in Dr. Neufeld's certification program for facilitators of his video-courses. For more information on this program, please click here. |

Participants will learn to recognize the signs of stuckness, determine the causes of this condition, and get children unstuck. Course participants are also equipped to use a working model of attachment that can be applied to children of all ages and levels of challenge, to assess for the appropriate depth and development of attachment, and to employ strategies for cultivating a context of connection with the immature. |
